The Royal Wardrobe: 5 great outfits

Princess Madeleine of Sweden in pink for the christening of her godson, Prince Oscar

One week, five great outfits. The Royal Wardrobe this week had some stand out looks but the choices made for Prince Oscar's christening were at the very top. There was lots of pastel, lots of white and some very on trend draping and overall. It was royal super sharp styling at its best. There is a poll to pick your favourite (on the main page) or you can add your own choices below. Sit back and enjoy the Royal Wardrobe from Oscar's christening.

There were no surprises to see Princess Madeleine's name on the list of godparents for Prince Oscar and no surprises that she looked downright fabulous for the occasion. Her pale pink dress with statement sleeves is one of the best royal looks of May and won plenty of fans at the christening. From the fitted elegance of the dress to the dash of daring in the bell shaped lower sleeves. this is a special dress and then some. Lovely.

Crown Princess Mary of Denmark is Princess Estelle's godmother and watched on proudly as her husband, Crown Prince Frederik, became sponsor to Prince Oscar. For the christening, Mary chose a perfect print in white and black with a huge statement hat and a pair of shoes that will take some beating at any royal event. The turned back collar, the cap sleeves, the slow build of cascading pattern - what's not to love about this christening triumph?

Princess Sofia chose blue for a boy for Oscar's christening and added a cape for good measure. The newest mum in Sweden's Royal Family looked fabulous in a pale blue fitted dress with a huge scallop feature on the front of the skirt and a cracking cape that gave the effect of wide sleeves from other angles. Add in a pale pink pill box and a cute little clutch bag and you have a winner every day of the week.

Oscar's other godmother, Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway, stayed true to her own style and opted for a simple but classic shift dress in pale mint green with a string of sparkling stones in her hair rather than a traditional hat. There was a Peter Pan collar and a kick to the skirt which added up to a sweet and striking look for a Crown Princess who couldn't contain her joy at becoming a godmother.

Princess Victoria went for white for the christening of her second child, choosing a cut out patterned dress with mid length sleeves which felt like summer had started despite the rain. The patterning was pretty, the colour was perfect and the feathery flounce of a hat was just the right size for the outfit and for a mummy juggling a three month old and a four year old in front of the watchful gaze of the rest of the world. A mummy masterclass in christening fashion.

Five great outfits in a standout week but which was your favourite - you can vote in the poll here.
