Princess Marie of Denmark went to the Tonder Festival which has been running since August 28th and of which she is patron.  The festival, which features folk and roots music, also got a visit from her husband, Prince Joachim, and their son, Henrik.

It was also confirmed on August 31st 2014 that Prince Carl Philip is taking part in a maritime exercise off the coast of Finland.  The prince, who is on board HMS Cariskrona, is involved in the annual event which involves ships and crews from 13 countries practising operations in narrow and shallow waters where civilian boats may also be working.  Carl Philip began the training, Northern Coasts 2014. on August 26th and will stay with the operation until it ends on September 11th 2014.

King Harald of Norway attended celebrations marking the 150th anniversary of the Seaman's Mission in Bergen.
